Just as we were celebrating Diwali and the festivities were coming to an end, I got a chance to extend my celebrations :-).
After a long wait, My TEDx video has been uploaded. π
As happy and excited as I am to share this with each and every one of you, I am a slightly apprehensive wondering how people would react. Either way, I’ve decided to share here, for all of you to see.
To know about my TEDx journey ‘At TEDx, as a Speaker ‘please read it here.
Here is the video. Do watch it and let me know what you think π
What blogging taught me about Life!
I spoke about the lessons blogging taught me about life. Since I was chosen to represent this event as a blogger, I couldnβt think of anything else which I could talk about. I’m sure every blogger out there would be able to relate to it π
So, another dream comes true. Another item checked from my To-Do List π
I am really grateful to God, my parents, my friends and all those who supported and encouraged me throughout. Thank you everybody π

Saw the entire video… nice effort. The 'presentation' part was missed though but the monologue was quite good. I'm sure you'll evolve into a good speaker sooner than you expect it from yourself, Ashwini.

I saw the video in full.
The eight points you mentioned are noteworthy if one journeys on a road less trodden.
You speak well, fluent , no stuttering and with ease. Perhaps did I see lack of eye contact and that translated into absence of gestures that would add sheen to the talk. Maybe you should look the listeners in the eye and speak. Your eyes do rove around but I felt the eye to eye contact was desired.

If it was your first public speech on relatively big stage , then definitely congratulations on your speech , it was mostly smooth without a glitch.
But some aspects of a pleasant speech like Humor , a surprise element and editing the speech out to be crisp – eliminating unnecessary filler lines would have made it sound even better.
I am no Master Shifu , But if you are aiming to be a “Dragon Warrior” , You now have a level Zero.

Thank you so much Anil. Glad to know you watched it fully. I addressed the entire section of audience, but specific eye contact, a point to note down. π

I agree with all your points, mainly one should write from the heart, that is very important. Blogging is not meant to be written for others, it is our own life, our experiences etc. only then can our blogging be good. Yes sometimes, some bloggers just praise us too much, we can sense from their comments, that they are just trying to be nice, and we would also come across some people who have not even read what we have written and just pass some general comments, and from all this lot we have some real comments from people who really read our blog, and comment sensibly. Blogging teaches us a lot, about ourselves and also about others.
Congratulations!, you did quite well, and with more opportunities you would definitely work on some of the points mentioned by some bloggers. Well done Ashwini!
What a proud moment for you as well your parents. Enjoy yourself!
