This happens to most of us.
Even before we’re allowed to think (perhaps creatively) we are forced into a box and not encouraged as much to explore new avenues. There are a few people who succeed in pushing all barriers and coming up with ingenious thoughts. Unfortunately most of them who do succeed in this, are forced to encounter a more complicated breed of species who are highly impossible to deal with – Human beings.

Yes, you are right – sometimes people are so limited to their thinking, they don't accept anything experimental even if it is good.

I have been in one such situation, in my first job. To summarize, it is best to say that the things we want to go into details of are not the ones our seniors like, and the things they want us to go into details of are not to our liking.
Thinking of it now, it is not only about the seniors etc., it is about everyone. We are all unique, but sometimes this uniqueness gets in the way.

There are reasons why companies/bosses tell things like that. Sometimes these reasons may even be valid. The issue is, they don't want to share those reasons with us, and that makes it irritating. Why hire professionals and treat them like kids? At least on blogs, we don't have to face such hinderances.

I can never work under such circumstances, probably, that is why I never worked under anybody. I always did things my way, take it or leave it.
I can understand, what people who have to put up when they have to face this situation everyday. My husband too never liked this kind of attitude in his work place and so he resigned and started his own company. I know it is not a joke to leave a well paid job and start out on your own from the scratch, but when faced with a situation, where you are left to stagnate for ever, then if there are other options one should have the courage to take the plunge.

I think that is why I like blogging and writing online so much. I can cross boundaries and be as creative as I want too. If you work for someone, they can squelch your creativity and call the shots. This is so true.

I work with special needs children and am faced with these situations all the time. Actually today I went to an office and spend over four hours fighting for something I did not get. I hate politics.
