And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I’m never successful in my attempts to lose weight.
Because mom knows when I’m full and when I’m really full and when I can still manage to eat Poori and Kesari. 🙂

April 21, 2014 at 8:19 pm
Haha…short and sweet! I am a hostler for four straight years now and I do visit fitness centers every now and then to keep my body in good shape. But when i go home in sem leave, i just cannot resist the extra chunk of fat building around at wrong places. The moment i smell of home made aaloo paratha, it becomes impossible to resist eating just a handful of them. 🙂Saying all this, I can never get tired of eating my mom's cooking. She is the best!

Kesari? It's been a long time since I ate that. Will remember when I visit a hotel, again. Until before a few years, we used to like and demand 'gasal halwa', made at home.

The aroma does the trick and ensures that we empty more than what we are capable of eating! Tell me about it 🙂
April 26, 2014 at 11:25 am
I love the way my mom makes Kesari, among other things 🙂 And hence the difficulty in resisting the temptation!

Their way of expressing affection 🙂
April 26, 2014 at 11:45 am
Food is always very tempting. For me it is enough to just think of my mom, and the way she used to make Kesari whenever she did Satya Narayan Puja, which was I think once every 15 days, is enough for me to make Kesari. It is a pity my mom passed away years ago.The north Indian Puri with Halwa/ Sheera is the best combination and they would also give a dry channa dish along with it. It used taste superb.
